About Us
Providence is an independent non-demoninational Christian school, open to all. The school was founded on the principle that Christianity and Biblical truth must be central to the whole curriculum. Providence desires to encourage in its pupils, and through its teachers, an ever increasing joy in discovering the marvels of the world around us. It is our hope that our pupils will discover that there is much joy in learning.
Locale
Providence Christian School is located within the Cearns Housing Scheme about 2 miles north of the centre of Stornoway. The school utilises the Cearns Community Centre which provides us with ample space both inside and out.

Basis of our existence
We seek to provide an environment where a love of learning is developed and encouraged. All areas of our daily routine are ultimately driven by a desire to honour the Lord. We strive to give our pupils the tools necessary to lead a life through which we can glorify, honour and enjoy God forever.

Our History
Providence Christian School, formerly known as Lewis Independent Christian School, was established in 1999 under the auspices of the Lewis Christian Education Association. Now, almost 20 years later, we continue to see a constant stream of pupils being educated through the school and moving on to make their own impact on the world.
